5 Things to Stop Doing Today – Make a Better Tomorrow is going to be my new to-do list! I struggle with so many of these things! Especially putting myself down! That’s why I decided to write this post! It has nothing to do with direct sales, and everything to do with becoming a better person! I sometimes wish I could just flip a switch and make everything right!
Five things I need to stop doing today!
5 Things we should ALL stop doing include, but are not limited to:
- Trying to please everyone.
- Putting yourself down.
- Being afraid to change.
No matter what you do, you will NEVER be able to please everyone, so quit wasting your time and energy on doing everything for others, and start taking care of yourself. Only YOU matter! The important thing is to take time for yourself and to take care of you! And only you can do that! No one can do it for you!
Stop putting yourself down! If you wouldn’t say it to a friend, why keep saying it to yourself? Get out of your own head, and tomorrow will definitely be better! And yes, this is a major thing I need to work on! I constantly berate myself about anything and everything! Why? I have no idea. But it’s something I have always done, and the biggest thing I need to work on….for ME!! Especially when it comes to body image! Who ever invented the mirror, anyway! Maybe if I took them all out of my house, it would help!
Or maybe not!
Don’t be afraid to change! Change can be hard, but it can also be good! If nothing ever changes, wouldn’t life start to get boring? Change what you can, except what you can’t, and keep moving forward……one step at a time! Baby steps are the way to go! Because it won’t happen overnight! Another problem I personally struggle with! I want results when I want them, not tomorrow or next week! Maybe I should add patience to my list!
Number Four! Procrastination!
Quit procrastinating! It isn’t going to get done if you don’t get started. Starting today will make a better tomorrow! So why put it off? Will it be easier if you wait till tomorrow, or next week? The amount of effort is the same. So you might as well get it started, then you can feel the freedom to start something else, once you get that one out of the way!
And Number Five!
Overthinking is probably our worst enemy. How many times have you thought something was going to go one way, but it was the complete opposite? Or maybe you think because it’s not perfect, it’s not good enough! Overthinking only backfires and is just another waste of time and energy! But yet we all tend to do just that, don’t we?!?!?
And I could go on, but if I’m talking baby steps, five sounds like a good number to work on!
So chin up! And remember “No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and never give up“!
