Easy to Do? Yes, it is! I hear these questions often! How hard is it to do a Chalk Couture Piece? Do I need to be artistic? I don’t have an artistic bone in my body! There’s no way I could do that! I don’t have the time for this!
Have you ever asked yourself any of these questions? All of them? Well, let me show you just how quick and easy it is to do, and how you can get your own to try!
How Hard is it to Do a Chalk Couture Piece?
To answer this question, it is NOT hard at all! This piece took SEVEN minutes from start to finish!

Don’t believe it?!?! I’ve included a video showing every step from start to finish. If you think it is hard to use more than one color, I’ll also be showing just how to easy it is to get the look shown.
I used a small pallet board from Chalk Couture! I’ve never tried these, but I like the looks of them, so I thought I’d give it a try! It is a very well made piece, and has a really smooth surface, so it works great. This particular piece is available in 2 different sizes. This one is 5 1/2″ x 7 1/2″.
The transfer, “Don’t Grow Up, It’s a Trap” is a size “A”, which is the smallest size of transfers. It fits nicely on this size board.
The pastes I used are also from Chalk Couture in Wildberry, Nantucket Blue, Lilac and Aquamarine.

All it takes to do the smaller transfers, is 10 minutes (approximately), from start to finish. TEN minutes! That’s it! Are you intrigued yet? Keep reading!
Do I Have to Be Artistic
NO! No, you don’t have to be artistic at all. All you need are the supplies and the desire to try it! That’s it!
Make it colorful with 3 or more colors! Or keep it simple with one or two colors. With one or two colors, it would probably take five minutes to complete this piece. The bigger transfers do take a little longer, but I suggest starting with the smaller sizes, especially for your first piece. Don’t let it intimidate you! It is EASY!
How Can You Try it?
There are several options for trying this.
First: Take a look at my site, order what you want, and get it shipped directly to you. You DON’T have to use our pieces, but they are convenient for trying. Purchase a surface of your choice at any craft store, such as Hobby Lobby or Michael’s. I suggest pre-waxing these pieces, just to get the transfer off easier.
Second: Join Club Couture! You will have to commit to 3 months, at $19.99 a month. Cancel any time after the initial time is up. With this subscription, you get a “B” sized transfer and 3 chalk pastes and step by step instructions. Each month you will be receiving a different transfer designed to be on trend or seasonal.
And there’s more!
Third: I will be offering a package that I will be sending to you, one time, with everything needed to complete a 5″x 7″ project. The cost for this is $38. It will include a transfer, surface, squeegee and 3 chalk pastes. Contact me here about this option if you have interest in this option. There are 5 different transfers and 5 different surfaces to choose from.
Fourth: Join in the fun with me as a Chalk Couture Designer. Sign up, get your package that includes everything pictured here for $99 and your own shopping site! Receive a NEW transfer every month by remaining active! This is value in itself.
